Bitcoin Breaks All-Time High, Surging Past $69,000 Mark After 847 Days
Bitcoin's historic rally sees it breach previous records, buoyed by new ETF inflows and a resurgent crypto market.
The price of Bitcoin (BTC) has surged to $69,000 for the first time since November 10, 2021, marking a significant milestone for the largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, which has risen by 9% in the past 24 hours.
Bitcoin has shattered its previous all-time high, surpassing $69,000 briefly before experiencing a slight pullback. Nonetheless, after 847 days, the cryptocurrency has finally achieved full recovery, with all BTC holders currently in profit.
The world's pioneer cryptocurrency has witnessed a remarkable rally of over 21% in the past week, breaking the previous all-time high price of $68,990, recorded on the Coinbase exchange on November 10, 2021.
This record-breaking surge follows substantial inflows from new spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in the United States, which have played a pivotal role in driving the current rally. According to CryptoQuant research, by February 15, Bitcoin ETFs constituted approximately 75% of new investment in the world's largest cryptocurrency as it surpassed the $50,000 mark.
Remarkably, this new all-time high coincides with a historic moment for Gold, which also reached its peak on the same day, underlining the shifting dynamics in the financial markets and the growing prominence of digital assets.
