OKX Logo to Appear on Manchester City’s Training Kits
The crypto exchange announced it reached an agreement to expand its partnership with the Citizens.
On Sunday, cryptocurrency exchange OKX announced it is extending and expanding its partnership with English Premier League champions Manchester City, therefore becoming the club’s official training kit partner for the upcoming season. The deal will allegedly also see some City players star in educative crypto content produced and released by the exchange itself.
The training kit on which the exchange's logo will be emblazoned will be worn by both the men and women’s first teams and will make its debut in late July. The collaboration has been described as a “partnership of champions”, with OKX customers now having the chance to win season tickets to the club’s home games. This is just an ulterior strengthening between OKC and Manchester City’s relationship, which had begun back in March 2022.
While financial terms were not discussed, a source told Forbes magazine that the renewed agreement will allegedly net Manchester City over $20 million this season. This is not the first partnership that a Premier League club has achieved with a crypto or crypto-related enterprise, as crosstown rivals Manchester United added blockchain company Tezos as a sponsor in February, among others.
