Terra’s cross-chain bridge protocol now supports 12 networks becoming the second-largest blockchain in terms of defi TVL.

Terraform Labs co-founder Do Kwon told in a tweet that the cross-chain bridge protocol Terra Bridge now supports five new blockchain networks. “Bridge.terra.money now supports Avalanche, Solana, Osmosis, Fantom, and Moonbeam Network. The easiest way to move funds in crypto” he said on Tuesday.

Terra Bridge is a web frontend that allows users to easily send Terra assets (token, coin native or mAsset) across supported blockchains via their respective bridges. In addition to the newly added Solana, Fantom, Moonbeam, Osmosis, and Avalanche networks, bridge.terra.money already supports Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain (BSC), Harmony, Secret, Injective, Cosmos, and Polygon.

According to defillama.com stats, Terra (LUNA) network is now the second-largest blockchain in terms of defi total value locked (TVL) with more than $7 billion TVL across several bridges to Ethereum. Terra (LUNA) is also the fifth-largest smart contract platform coin by market capitalization with $29.8 billion today.

Cross-chain bridge technology has matured a lot in the past 12 months and mid-September 2021. Across over a dozen blockchain networks, cross-chain bridges to Ethereum hold $19.51 billion in value
