David Bowie-themed NFT sale to be launched on OpenSea

The David Bowie-inspired ‘Bowie On The Blockchain’ project bring together original works of nine digital artists.

A new digital art project dedicated to David Bowie is set to be launched September 13 on OpenSea.

The initiative, called Bowie On The Blockchain, includes a collection of NFTs created by nine artists.

The project was born from a partnership between the Bowie Estate – which manages the legacy of the late artist – OpenSea, We Love The Arts by artist manager and creative executive Andrew D. Keller and film producer Joaquin Acrich.

The collection is described as “a first-of-its-kind multiple artist NFT sale” that will bring together original works of nine artists – Defaced, FEWOCiOUS, Glam Beckett, JAKE, Jonathan Wolfe, Lirona, Pussy Riot’s Nadya Tolokonnikova, Osinachi, Young & Sick – who have created “their own unique works to pay homage to David Bowie and its influence on their artistic and personal identities.”  

100% of the profits to the Bowie Estate will benefit CARE, the leading global anti-poverty and humanitarian organization, for which his wife Iman is the first global advocate.
